SkyGuard sends SpeedGauge data points for each vehicle in your fleet. SpeedGauge overlays the vehicle speed and location data onto their own system that reflects posted speed limits. SkyGuard has partnered with ZoomSafer® to offer FleetSafer Policy Management Service. SkyGuard sends a signal that limits or completely blocks incoming text messages, emails and phone calls so your drivers can remain focused on the road. This new technology, created by ZoomSafer, helps enforce corporate and state cell phone use policies that are being put in place to keep drivers safe and to keep repair and liability costs associated with vehicle crashes under control. Flexible controls, accessible from the ZoomSafer web-based application, allow the fleet manager to configure how the employee's phone behaves while driving.

Track all your assets....even if they have no power source. SkyGuard's Trailer & Asset Tracking device attaches to almost anything so you know where your trailers, equipment, generators and other assets are each day. If anything is stolen, SkyGuard can track the item for you so that it can be recovered quickly.

If you have a vehicle or equipment that remains in one place for an extended period of time, you may not even realize it is stolen until it is too late. Sentry Monitoring is triggered as soon as the vehicle moves, regardless of whether or not the ignition was engaged. You can even set up an alert to notify you when this takes place. SkyGuard immediately begins tracking the vehicle so you can recover it quickly. The feature also works for vehicles or equipment that should not be moved at specific times. Simply set up the Sentry Monitoring for only the specified timeframe.

GeoFences are simply geographic boundaries that you define on the map. You can find out when a mobile asset exits an area, like when a piece of construction equipment is stolen, or when someone enters an area that is restricted by policy. SkyGuard devices record all entries and exits of GeoFence boundaries for any selected vehicles. You can run reports on these events or even set up alerts so that you are notified immediately.

Landmarks offer you a way to identify addresses that are important for vehicle tracking purposes. For example, your customer addresses, the location of your company’s home and branch offices or frequently visited pick-up or drop-off locations can all be identified as Landmarks in the SkyGuard website. The SkyGuard system will record the time when the vehicle stops at these addresses and users can run reports to determine whether things are going according to schedule or if some modifications need to be made.

SkyGuard devices can be connected to your vehicle’s systems using the digital Input/Output (I/O) ports on the device to monitor and/or control the connected system. Input connections can be used to monitor systems that are on or off, open or closed, up or down, connected or disconnected, etc. And, from the SkyGuard website, you can run reports on the status of these components. Output connections can be used to control those same systems by unlocking or locking a door, enabling or disabling a vehicle’s starter, etc.

Regular maintenance may be expensive but it’s nothing compared to the cost of repairing or replacing vehicles that are improperly maintained. And of course, routine maintenance is the best way to keep your fleet on the road, running trouble-free and contributing to your bottom line.

SkyGuard takes the administrative time and hassle out of managing vehicle maintenance. It allows you the flexibility to set up maintenance reminders for each vehicle based on date, mileage or hours of service. The alerts are sent – in advance if needed - via email or text message when maintenance is due on each vehicle. You can even get the reminder sent days in advance, allowing you time to adjust schedules.

In extreme cases of misuse or theft, it may be necessary to retrieve a vehicle. The faster you can locate and disable it, the better chance you have to recover it with minimal damage to your property or someone else on the road. If any of your vehicles are ever missing, stolen, or being used inappropriately, SkyGuard enables you to locate it and disable it directly from the website.

Once disabled, the vehicle cannot start again until you say it can. It does not cause a moving vehicle to stop, which could cause a severe accident, it simply prevents the engine from being started again once it has been turned off. Once disabled, you can easily collect your vehicle knowing exactly where it is. And the easy-to-use website allows you to determine the vehicle’s last known locations so you can direct authorities to the correct address.

When a driver gets lost it costs you precious fuel and time and adds unnecessary miles to your vehicle’s engine and tires. Providing drivers with accurate turn-by-turn directions ensures they will arrive at their destination quickly via the most direct route.

From the website, a user can request directions from a driver’s current location to a landmark. Or they can enter other addresses into the directions request screen. Directions can be sent to the driver’s email address or to a GARMIN device mounted in the vehicle and connected to SkyGuard.

In addition to sending directions, SkyGuard provides a feature that allows you to send any email or text message directly to the driver from the secure website.
